Basil Fig Pizza

Post image for Basil Fig Pizza

Hannah and Phoebe over at I Heart Kale posted a recipe about a month ago for basil, fig, caramelized onion pizza. I was intrigued and made a mental note to give it a try.

This past weekend Mike’s mom sent us home with some fresh basil from her garden, and when we went for the “just got back from out of town” grocery trip, lo and behold the first figs were in. Obviously, it was meant to be.

Figs and Basil

This pizza was scrumptious. I was happy because I finally got to try it. Mike was happy because it was fruit on pizza. Basically it was good all around.

I didn’t change the recipe at all, so I’m gonna send you over to I Heart Kale to get the recipe. I’m just here to spread the word and post pictures to get your mouth watering. :)

Hi Lon-
Thank you. That’s really why I have the website, to show people that even if you have certain food restrictions there’s still plenty of tasty food out there.
